About WWOS
Western Wyoming Outpatient Surgery (WWOS) is a new and modern AAAHC fully accredited ambulatory surgery center (ASC) located in Lander. Ambulatory surgery centers offer healthy patients the opportunity to receive same day surgical care in a comfortable outpatient setting. Patients and their families will benefit from the convenience and accessibility of the surgical treatment offered at WWOS. Patients progress through the preoperative preparations, surgical procedure, and postoperative recovery before being discharged home without having to enter a hospital environment.
WWOS is dedicated to offering the highest quality of patient care with surgical procedures performed by board-certified surgeons Dr. Ben Francisco and Dr. Cory Lamblin, assisted by a specialized and experienced team of registered nurses and surgical staff. In contrast to a hospital setting, the staff and resources of WWOS can be solely dedicated to the care of scheduled surgery patients, promoting efficient care and a relaxed environment. Patients also generally find ASCs to be a cost-effective alternative to inpatient care and pay significantly less than having the same procedure in a hospital setting.
Current procedures offered at Western Wyoming Outpatient Surgery:
- Fracture fixation and treatment of acute, traumatic injuries
- Fluoroscopic guided injections and pain relief procedures
- Hand, wrist, and elbow procedures
- Shoulder surgery, including arthroscopic repair of rotator cuff, tendon, and labral repairs
- Knee surgery, including arthroscopic treatment of ligament and meniscal injuries
- Foot, ankle, and toe surgery, including treatment of ankle instability, Achilles tendon, bunion, and hammertoes
- Epidural steroid injections of the spine
More are offered to patients meeting American Society of Anesthesiologist class 1 or 2 criteria for underlying medical health.
